Do you have any weddings this fall that you need to attend? Someone recently messaged me about what to wear for a fall wedding, and when I saw this gorgeous floral chiffon skirt, I thought, “THIS!” Funnily enough, how you see me styling this chiffon skirt is not how I thought I would wear it. You’ll see later in this post what I mean, and I can’t wait to hear which look you like the best.
I love this time of the year, and I especially love a fall wedding. The weather isn’t so hot, it isn’t as likely to rain, and the bugs don’t bite near as much. Smelling of bug spray is not the fragrance I want to be remembered for wearing. A fall wedding can be indoors or outside, depending on where it is held. A lot of fall weddings are in barns and are more casual, while others are in fancy hotels and are extremely dressy. Before you start looking for an outfit, check the typical weather for that time frame, ask about the wedding theme, and then be flexible when it comes to your outfit. And, don’t forget to pack a small bug spray with you just in case.
This Off The Shoulder Ruffle Blouse is NOT what I intended to wear with this floral chiffon skirt. I’m usually a color-loving gal, so I thought I would wear one of the brighter colors in the skirt. When I decided to try the rich black ruffled chiffon blouse with the skirt, I was shocked at how gorgeous and romantic the outfit became. This blouse is available in several different colors and prints; you might have seen me styling it recently in leopard, which is stunning. The blouse runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium. It is oversized and flowy, but that is part of the style.
Don’t fret if you don’t want to wear an off-the-shoulder look; this ruffled blouse can also be worn like a regular blouse. Dainty, layered necklaces are trending, so I made my own. I’ve worn the 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross Necklace daily for a long time, but I recently added the Abalone Initial Reversible Pendant and the Merrick Chain Necklace in Gold. The Sophee Drop Earrings are beautiful and lightweight. I love that they don’t weigh your ears down and still make a big statement.
I’m wearing a Stretchy Belt in black to give the skirt and blouse a dividing point. This belt is part of a four-pack, and I’ve worn them a lot this summer. I bought them in large, and they fit great.
This Floral Chiffon Skirt is stunning! The colors are beautiful, but it is the flowing style of the skirt that makes this a show-stopper. The skirt is lined, although the lining isn’t as long as the maxi skirt. I can’t wait to wear this skirt; it makes me feel feminine and beautiful. The skirt comes in a lot of different prints; this print is the Blooming Calla Lily, and I’m wearing a medium.
I could have worn lots of different shoes since they really don’t show. These 5″ Shaft Ankle Boots in black were what I decided to wear since I was styling the look for a fall wedding. When I think of fall, I immediately think of boots. The higher shaft boot is a fall trend this year, and these affordable boots will look great with jeans and dresses and pants. These run true to size; I’m wearing my usual size 9.
Now, for the look that I thought I would like and wear. Since I love color, I thought that wearing a top that matched the Calla Lily would be perfect for this skirt. If I hadn’t styled the black ruffled blouse, I might have been pleased with this look.
This Purple Chiffon Batwing Blouse looks fine with the floral skirt, but it doesn’t look as elegant. I like this top, and I have several similar tops like this because I like the batwing look. It hides my tummy and any muffin top I might have, and it looks pretty and feminine. I’m wearing a medium, and the fit is great. This top comes in a lot of different colors and prints, and it is under $30.00.
