Metaverse Fashion Week’s second iteration saw a collaboration between Decentraland foundation and metaverses Spatial and Over the Reality, resulting in a more diverse and extensive experience for participants. Threedium, a 3D engine, worked with Coach on the brand’s gamified Metaverse Fashion Week experience in Decentraland, focusing on Coach’s Tabby bag. Other brands such as adidas Originals and Tommy Hilfiger hosted runway shows and immersive spaces. While adidas’ play focused on community, Tommy Hilfiger’s was centred around commerce. Augmented Reality (AR) metaverse platform Over The Reality participated in Metaverse Fashion Week with a site-specific AR runway show at Milan’s Piazza del Duomo, bringing digital fashion into the real world. French e-commerce platform Monnier Paris teamed up with Decentraland and digital fashion brand Republiq for an online competition meant to spotlight digital talent and create a bridge with the real world.
