Type: Eyelet – Summer time Type Will have to Have

This season, Eyelet is hot and on trend! This cute preppy fabric is on everything from headbands to sneakers.  It’s a classic style which is why each year its shows up on the top trends list.  But, it has gone beyond the white eyelet that we remember as kids.   This feminine pattern is showing up in pretty pastel colors of blush pink, baby blue and lavender.  So this is right up my alley!  Eyelet makes me feel so feminine and girly when I wear it.

When I saw this belted eyelet romper, I knew right away that I needed it in my wardrobe.  It’s a piece that you can wear going out to a fancy restaurant or a summer event.  I most recently wore this to a bridal shower and received so many compliments!

Dressy Eyelet Look

For the eyelet romper that I am wearing,  I turned to neutral colors of browns and tans for my shoes and purse.  I couldn’t decide between white wedges or neutral wedges so I am styling with both. A wicker basket bag was a must with this outfit, it tied in perfectly with the wooden like button and belt detailing on the romper.

Next, an outfit is not complete without jewelry.  I thought that this Victoria Emerson Boho Cuff was a perfect addition.

This whole outfit screams, Hello!  It’s SUMMER TIME!!

Casual Eyelet Look

For those of you that want to follow the eyelet trend but like a more casual look , I got you!  You can easily dress this romper down by choosing a pair of Ankle Strap Sandals or Slides. I added a cute rattan crossbody bag to hold all my essentials and I was ready for a day of shopping.

Also, in case you didn’t know, eyelet is not just for the girls that love whites and pastels.  This pattern is also showing up in brighter and darker colors, such as these golden yellow eyelet shorts and rust off-the-shoulder eyelet top.
