I just got in some new beauty products from Walmart, and a couple of them left me with my mouth wide open in shock. From a transparent blush to a brush-on root cover-up, this might be the wildest beauty product haul I’ve done this year!
I ordered a couple of products for my guest bathrooms in multi-packs so I could also use them in my bathroom. The Bath and Shower Loofahs came in a 3-pack, and the Reusable Makeup Removing Cloths came in a 4-pack. I kept the pink version for my bathroom, and I’ll put the others in the bathrooms for my overnight guests. I love these reusable makeup removing cloths since all you have to do is get them wet. They do a great job removing your makeup, and then you throw them in the wash for an easy clean-up.
The first of my beauty products that I’m trying today is a tinted moisturizer. The Sheerly Me Tinted Moisturizer is lightweight and balances out your skin tone. If you use a moisturizer, having one that gives you some color is an added plus. I wasn’t sure what color I would need, so I went with the lightest shade, 110. I would rather pick a light shade than one that is too dark.
The tinted moisturizer blended in nicely, but I think I would have liked a slightly darker color. I think I’ll send this one back and try the 210 instead.
The following beauty product from Walmart was one that I was excited to try. I had never heard of a CLEAR blush, so I wanted to see if it would work.
According to the website, this “universally flattering blush that applies clear and adapts to your skin’s natural pH, instantly providing the perfect shade of natural flush.” So that means that my color blush might differ from your color! The liquid is clear, but the wand application is pink. I barely touched my skin to try out the blush, but I decided to give it a full try.
Can you believe this??? I was shocked at the results, and I loved the pretty color. The blush easily blended in for a sheer tint and looked very natural.
I was in a metallics kind of mood, so I ordered two different metallic eyeshadows. This liquid eyeshadow is Bronze Brillance by Physicians Formula.
I thought the color turned out more chrome than bronze, but I applied the product sparingly. This was the first time I had used it, and I didn’t want to go overboard.
I applied more of the Velociraptor Jurassic World Chrome Eyeshadow. I thought this liquid eyeshadow looked bronze/gold, and I loved the shiny sheen.
Here are the two colors side by side, and I liked them both. I usually wear more chrome/gray shades because they go great with blue eyes. But, the gold shimmery eyeshadow is striking. I will have to use both of them again to decide which I like the best.
No matter which of the eyeshadows I decide to wear, I’ll apply my Blond Opal Cream Eyeshadow to the inside corners of my eyes. I started using this eyeshadow in March, and I’ve used it every day for months; and I like its brightening effect. It makes my eyes look brighter and more alert and is super easy to apply.
I usually wear a Lip Stain instead of a LipStick. I ordered a Maybelline Super Stay Matte Liquick Lip Stain in Ringleader, a nude color. I tried both colors on the back of my hand and decided to wear the Melani Matte Lipstick in Passion.
I love this dark nude color, and I think it will look great this fall. The matte lipstick is a highly creamy feeling, and it glides on smoothly. I’m unsure about how long it will wear or the smudge resistance since this is the first time I’m trying it. But I LOVE the way it feels on my lips.
Okay, this was another WOW beauty product for me. Why didn’t I know about this product in 2020 when all the hair shops shut down? This is Color Wow Root Cover Up in Dark Blonde. I didn’t want to apply the product in my normal part area since I wasn’t sure how it would look. So, I parted my hair farther down on the side, and you can see the gray strands around. (They’ll be gone soon since I have a hair appointment on Friday.)
I applied the mineral powder to one side of the part so you could see the results. Holy Cow! The bottom portion of the part looks fine, while you can still see the gray strands on the top portion. The powder didn’t feel sticky, and my hair felt normal. Best of all, it looked perfectly natural, and I don’t think anyone would be able to tell that I added the product. This will be a great “short-term” fix when I’ve been too busy to get to the hairdresser, and no one will ever be the wiser.
I didn’t get photos of the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask I’ve been using. I apply it each night, and I love how my lips feel in the morning. This leaves my lips feeling hydrated but don’t feel sticky. I haven’t tried the Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm yet, but I did the sniff test. The product smells “medicine-y,” and I’m unsure if I will be able to use it because of my fragrance aversion.
I’m happy with this month’s beauty products haul, and the best part is that they are all available online from Walmart.
Walmart makes it very convenient for its customers to shop, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes. Walmart has an extraordinary policy of free 2-day shipping and returns for purchases over $35! You can also sign up for Walmart Plus, where you get Free Shipping and no order minimums. I take advantage of the home delivery several times a week, and I love that small convenience.
Walmart sponsors this post, and I will receive compensation, but the opinions expressed are my own.
