The daughter of English singer-songwriter and Beatles star Paul McCartney previously launched a skin care range in 2007
The three-product range from Stella has refill options available
Fashion designer Stella McCartney is launching a new minimalist ‘clean’ skin care range this September, in partnership with LVMH’s beauty division.
It comes 19 years after the daughter of Beatles star Paul McCartney first entered the beauty market with the launch of her perfume line.
This was followed by a skin care range in 2007 called CARE.
The new Stella collection will feature a cleanser, serum and a moisturising cream, which are vegan and cruelty-free.
“The line-up is a culmination of two years’ worth of innovation and exploration with LVMH’s research and development teams,” said McCartney.
“We set out with an idea, and because we didn’t want to compromise – on results, the origin of our ingredients, and, of course, ensuring we minimise our impact on Mother Earth – we kept on trying.”
McCartney added that the products have been created to avoid over-stimulating the skin and treat only visible skin care concerns.
The two-in-one Reset Cleanser (US$60) can be used over the eye area and is said to leave skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated.
Stella’s Alter-Care Serum ($140), meanwhile, supports skin’s key functions to improve tone and texture, while nourishing and protecting the skin’s barrier.
Daily use of the Restore Cream ($105) has been designed to help reduce lines and wrinkles and improve elasticity.
Each product has refill options available, and will be sold directly to consumers on McCartney’s website stellamccartneybeauty.com.
“Growing up in Scotland, I learnt to smell nature, hear her, learn from her and most importantly respect her,” McCartney added.
“I believe she has it all and if we see that, we can feed our body and our soul inside and out.
“It is now my wish to create a family and community outside of my own that feels the same need for a mindful alternative in beauty.
“Desirable products that truly work and reflect my values and commitment to living in harmony with nature.”
McCartney originally founded her own fashion house under her name in 2001 in partnership with Gucci Group, which has since gone on to become Kering.
