The Environment Social Governance (ESG) Summit: A Platform for Creating a Sustainable and Healthier Tomorrow
The Environment Social Governance (ESG) Summit, hosted by Prakruti Environment Research & Protection Centre, was held on 28th March 2023, at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. The event brought together more than 700 delegates made up of experts, thought leaders, and enthusiasts, all ready to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and collaborate on various aspects of environmental conservation and sustainability.
The summit was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Parshottam Rupala ji, Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, while the Guest of Honour in the summit comprised of Mrs. Locket Chatterjee, Member of Parliament, Hooghly, Bengal, Shri Dipsinh Rathod, Member of Parliament, Sabarkantha, Gujarat, Shri Krishna Vidhyarthi Sahu Maharaj, Mahant, Shri Valmiki Ashram, Delhi, Padma Shri Dr. Anuradha Paudwal, and Mrs. Srimathi Shivashankar, Corporate Vice President, HCL Technologies.
One Tree for Nation Campaign
The summit promoted and generated awareness about the nationwide campaign- One Tree for Nation by Paryawaran Savrakshan Gatividhi, where guests were treated to Shri Gopal Arya ji, National Convenor’s, presence. The campaign aims to plant more trees across the country and evaluate the benefits of reforestation in a holistic manner.
Combatting Climate Change
The summit highlighted the need for global initiatives to combat climate change and Lifestyle for the Environment (LiFE), an international mass movement towards “mindful and deliberate utilization instead of mindless and destructive consumption” to protect and preserve the environment under the leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The Key Note Speakers
A diverse group of experts, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders offered their insights and solutions to environmental concerns at the summit. Topics discussed included Climate Change, Sustainable Living, Biodiversity Conversation, Renewable Energy and Environmental Policies. Key note speakers shared their insights on best practices, trends, and innovations in ESG and discussed ways to overcome the challenges associated with implementing ESG strategies.
Mr. Nachiiket Joshi’s “Khadisutra”
The summit marked the launch of “Khadisutra” authored by Mr. Nachiiket Joshi, an informative book on Khadi that highlights the importance of sustainable fashion and inspired by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji.

The conference provided an opportunity for networking and collaboration among attendees. Participants were able to connect with like-minded professionals, which can help advance ESG initiatives.
