The makers have reportedly tweeted the same saying “Marching on and making history! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the audience who’ve been showering us with love! Catch #PS1 in theatres near you!”
The film has reportedly minted over Rs 80 crores on its opening day and is expected to earn around Rs 18 crores on its 4th day from all its languages.
Speaking about its Telugu version, the film has reportedly minted over Rs 4.45 Crores on its opening day, Rs 3.45 crores on day 2, and Rs 3.65 on day 3. The film has seen over 50% occupancy in Telugu states from various centres which are said to be dropping today due to it being a busy weekday.
Therefore the Telugu version of the film ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ (Telugu) has minted over Rs 12 crores in 3 days from all of the the Telugu diaspora.
The Tamil language epic period action drama that has an ensemble star cast has its music composed by AR Rahman, cinematography by Ravi Varman while the film production designed by Padmasri Thota Tarani and editing is taken care of by Sreekar Prasad.
