Summer is sadly ending before long, and many of you might be returning to school. Children aren’t the only ones returning to school; teachers are also gearing up to start the new school year. I wear jeans all the time for relaxing, but today I’m going to show you how to elevate the look for the workplace.
Fall is probably my favorite time of the year for fashion. I love falls rich colors, layering clothing, boots, and wearing jeans, jeans, and more jeans.
Sometimes you want to be comfortable and wear jeans, but you also need to look polished and professional. Adding a blazer to a pair of jeans can create the polished look you want. Blazers are trending this fall, especially oversized men’s blazers. You might notice that this year’s blazers are relaxed looking, longer in length, and the sleeves might even be longer than you are used to wearing. I also found that this blazer runs a little small; I needed to have sized up to a large instead of the medium I’m styling. I want to ensure that I can wear the blazer with heavier sweaters once the weather is cooler. This quality blazer is lined, but it might be out of the price range for some teachers. I love wearing tanks, vests, and sleeveless tops with jackets and blazers. Since you don’t have sleeves, you don’t have to worry about them bunching under the jacket. Legs that look long and lean; that’s the look I’m looking for when I try on jeans. I love wearing dark and medium wash jeans in fall, while I like light wash jeans in summer. Dark wash jeans look more polished and professional, so I will always choose them if I want to be dressier. These Vintage Flare Jeans by Madewell are universally flattering for most body types. The flare helps to balance out your upper body, and since they fit slim through the thighs, your legs look long and lean. These jeans have a higher waist than I’m used to, and the fabric is heavier without a lot of stretch. I’m wearing a size 29, so I think they run pretty TTS.
I usually wear pointy-toe shoes or boots with my flare jeans, but I wanted to style a pair of shoes that you could wear if you were on your feet all day. I’ve heard great things about Sofft shoes, so I ordered the Nevara Leather Loafer in black. These loafers have a 1 1/2″ heel and a cushioned footbed and seemed comfortable from the small amount of walking I did with them. I ordered my regular size, and they fit fine, but if I want to wear socks with them, I would need to size up a half size.
