A group of local male celebrities will strut their stuff on the runway in support of the Kidney Foundation.
The Sarnia-Lambton chapter is hosting its annual Celebrity Men Fashion Event Thursday night at the Dante Club.
Organizer Elaine Hayter said it’s the 10th and final year of the event.
“The guys that are involved this year are just so excited to finally get out there. We wanted to do this event in May and that didn’t happen. We’re just looking forward to this — have some hors d’oeuvres and raffles,” she said. “Thursday night is certainly going to be lots of fun. VIPs get front row seats and the rest of the seats are all around the runway.”
Tickets are $60 and the doors open at 6 p.m. at 1330 London Road.
Hayter, who retired from the Kidney Foundation in June, said she had to come back to help host her favourite event.
“We have done really, really well with this event over the years, and we borrowed the idea from our London chapter. The committee that is in place has been in place for all 10 years.”
The eight models taking part this year include Anthony Tofano from Tji Multi Trade Contractors, Chuck MacKenzie with MacKenzie Oil, JD Power from Ron Clark Motors; Sarnia Chiropractic’s John Vargo, Sarnia Firefighter Roy Eddleston, Ryan Straus from Nova Chemical, Dave Pellegrini with Sign Here Graphics, and finally, Mick Jackson from Assante Wealth Management.
Hayter said they’ll also have raffles, a live auction and their famous wine chest up for grabs.
