Marni for kids embodies the visionary spirit of the label. The collections tell unique stories, drawing inspiration from reality, then entering a fantasy world, with irony and sophistication.

How important is comfort when designing clothes for kids vs. for adults?

Comfort is essential when designing for kids, and we carefully choose silhouettes and fabrics that ensure comfort and functionality, without sacrificing style.

And how do you manage to marry comfort with style?

We translate the visionary approach of the Marni adult collections into our kids’ collections, staying true to the DNA of the label. At the same time, we make sure to never overlook the importance of comfort.

Are there any fit or sizing considerations that shoppers should keep in mind with Marni for kids?

We offer a New-born line (0-24 months), a Baby line (0-36 months), and a Junior line (4-14 years old), which includes ready-to-wear and accessories. The Junior line designs aren’t simply miniature versions of the adult collection—they’re original and exclusive.

Which materials do you primarily use for your collections, and why?

We primarily use jersey and fleece. To stay true to Marni’s DNA we also use knit, poplin, and viscose, all selected with softness and comfort in mind.

How would you describe Marni for kids in three words?

Playful, colorful, and creative.

How do you want kids to feel when wearing Marni pieces?

Every Marni Kids collection features exclusive, brightly colored prints, which make up an important narrative element–the prints are the leitmotif that links together all pieces in a collection.
