The awards season is in full swing, and the guilds have been announcing their winners for various categories. One film that has been dominating the guilds is “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” and it capped off its win with the Casting Society of America’s Artios Awards.
This film has won in eight of the nine guilds it has been nominated for, including actors, art directors, costume designers, directors, film editors, makeup artists/hairstylists, producers, and writers. The only guild it lost out on was the sound editors.
Two of its Academy Awards rivals, “Elvis” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” also won in the sound editors category. Both films have won four awards each, including cinematographers, costume designers, makeup artists/hairstylists, and sound mixers.
“Elvis” also won in the drama category at the American Cinema Editors and the Big Budget – Drama category at the Casting Society of America, while “Top Gun: Maverick” won in the actor and film editors categories at the Screen Actors Guild and the Directors Guild of America, respectively.

– “Elvis”: 10 guild nominations and wins in drama editing, period art direction, cinematography, sound mixing, period costume design, big budget – drama casting, dialogue and ADR, music editing, contemporary makeup and hairstyling, picture, actor for Austin Butler.
– “Everything Everywhere All at Once”: 8 guild nominations and wins in comedy editing, fantasy art direction, sci-fi/fantasy costume design, zeitgeist casting, direction, dialogue and ADR, music editing, sound effects and foley, contemporary makeup and hairstyling, picture, ensemble, actress for Michelle Yeoh, supporting actor for Ke Huy Quan, and supporting actresses for Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu, and original screenplay.
– “Avatar: The Way of Water”: 4 guild nominations and wins in fantasy art direction, sound mixing, sci-fi/fantasy costume design, and visual effects.
– “The Batman”: 4 guild nominations and wins in fantasy art direction, cinematography, sound mixing, contemporary makeup and hairstyling, and special makeup effects.
– “The Fabelmans”: 4 guild nominations and wins in period art direction, big budget – drama casting, direction, picture, and supporting actor for Paul Dano, and original screenplay.
