As part of Oscar party week, studios, networks, and organizations are hosting a range of events and parties in Los Angeles to celebrate and honor achievements in the film and entertainment industry. Some of the key events taking place include the 38th Film Independent Spirit Awards, hosted by Hasan Minhaj and featuring presenters like Kevin Bacon and Julia Louis-Dreyfus; the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, with Adam Sandler receiving the first-ever King of Comedy Award; and the 75th Annual Writers Guild of America Awards, which will include serious discussions about upcoming contract negotiations with the AMPTP.
