The sister to the brand’s original High Tide Deep Waver, this model features Far-Infrared Technology to reduce moisture loss during heat styling along with Negative-Ion Technology to seal the hair’s cuticle for a frizz-free finish.
Suitable for hair types ranging from straight to coily, and fine to thick, the Jumbo Waver is billed as being best for shoulder-length or longer strands.
What we say: We put this new Jumbo Waver to the test on varying hair textures and lengths. The results? Soft waves that looked effortless.
Used on dry hair with a heat-protectant spray, our testers found the tool was easy to work through hair. Operating in layers, the heat-styling tool was easy to clamp down on strands, holding for a few seconds, before releasing and moving on down the hair.
Section by section, the tool — which proved surprisingly lightweight for its size — produced a natural wave that gave hair texture and subtle volume. Finishing with a light spray of hairspray and a bit of hair oil at the ends produced a perfectly lived-in beach wave look.
