One item I particularly loved was the BCBGeneration hooded raincoat. It has all the details you need to stay dry in a torrential downpour. The front zips and snaps with a storm flap. It also has a stand collar, straps to tighten at the wrist, and an adjustable drawstring cord to snug the waist and keep drafts out. This raincoat reminded me of foul weather gear, but on a cuter level. It also comes in camel and black, but I decided to go for the red to add a pop of color to my wardrobe.
I paired the red raincoat with a geometric print blouse by Max Studio. This drapey blouse could easily be worn to the office and works just as well with jeans. Speaking of jeans, I wore Madewell’s Perfect Vintage Black jeans which are washed and appear grey. They’re a customer favorite and a bestseller made from Madewell’s Heritage Stretch denim that has an old-school look and a broken-in feel. They’re high-rise and have a straight leg and come in sizes 000-22-22W.
I finished off the look with Ippolita large teardrop earrings. The clean lines of Ippolita jewelry have always been a favorite of mine. Nordstrom Rack is an easy way to update your wardrobe at affordable prices, but be sure to jump on items you like because they sell out quickly.
Another item I loved was the Guess hooded raincoat in a fun pink color. It has cinch cords at the wrist and waist to snug up the fit and a hood for downpours. It’s shorter than the red raincoat, so it’s perfect for spring, but won’t provide as much protection from the elements. These days, the weather can make us all feel a bit gloomy, but a bright pink raincoat is sure to perk up your wardrobe and your mood.
The pink raincoat paired nicely with Hudson Noa high rise straight cropped jeans. These jeans are super soft cotton with a touch of spandex and come in sizes 000-16. I wore them with a colorblock wool sweater in shades of gray, ivory, and lavender. It also comes in a black/gray/red combo. It’s a very soft wool/cashmere blend in sizes 00-16W. The Vince Camuto Mekhi large crossbody is sold out in blue, but still stocked in black or tan. It’s very roomy and amazingly lightweight for the amount of things it will hold. It’s got an adjustable shoulder strap, plus lots of inner and outer pockets to keep you organized.
For comfortable and stylish footwear, I opted for Skechers On The Go Flex Wondrous sneakers. They’re slip-on sneakers that come in three colors, sizes 5-11. They have a knit mesh upper and an Air Cooled Goga Mat insole, which is super cushiony. These sneakers have a very flexible sole with an extra cushiony midsole.
Overall, I cannot recommend Nordstrom Rack enough for all your fashion needs.
