Style: TRY ON HAUL – OLD NAVY FALL DRESSES

Everyone seemed to love the Talbots Fall Collection post I did last week, so I thought I would bring you another one today. Last week, my DIL and I went to a Talbot’s store to try on clothing, but today I’m going a different route. I don’t have a lot of stores near me, so I’m often limited with the stores I can visit, so I do a TON of online orders instead. Recently I ordered some clothing from Old Navy, so I’m going to show you some of the Old Navy Fall Dresses from my haul.

For sizing reference, I’m 5’6″ tall and weigh between 150-155 lbs. I normally wear a size 8 (usually a size 29) in pants and jeans, a medium-large in tops and sweaters, and a 10-12 (med-large) in dresses.

Old Navy Fall Dresses

I’ll be styling four Old Navy Fall Dresses; I like that Old Navy believes in Body Equity which means size equality, price equality & style for women everywhere! I decided to style the dresses with a couple of pairs of my western boots, but you can change that up to fit your style. Any of these dresses can be worn with the wedge heels I wore in the Talbots Fall Collection post, or you could even wear them with sneakers for a modern and youthful look.

Midi Old Navy Fall Dresses

I found several midi Old Navy Fall Dresses, which are very nice. My first outfit is a Waist-Defined Puff Sleeve Smocked Dress. I think it is incredibly flattering, and it runs true to size. I’m wearing a size large, and I like the fit. I love a v-neckline since it elongates your neck, making you appear taller and thinner. This dress has a concealed hook and eye closure for fastening. I’m wearing the color Have A Heart, but it is also available in Volcanic Glass. I bought a top in that color, and it is gorgeous. The white/ivory boots are a pair I bought last year, but here is one that is very similar.

This Plaid Puff Sleeve Midi Dress is perfect for fall. I love the colors; it almost screams Pumpkin Spice! This dress also has a smocked waistline, but features an elasticized scoop neck instead of a v-neck. I ordered this dress in a medium, and I would have preferred a large. This dress is almost sold out in every size, but if you love the plaid print, here are a few other items you might like.

Isn’t this Flutter Sleeve Smocked Dress adorable? I love that these dresses have pockets, although I never put anything in them except my hands. The waist-defined detail has plenty of stretch; I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me fine. The Western Boots are a pair I bought this year during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They have the higher shaft that is popular this year, and they run true to size, and I’m wearing my usual size 9. They are also available in a light beige or black if you don’t need another pair of brown boots.

Poet Style Old Navy Fall Dresses

I love this Puff Sleeve Swing Dress in chambray. It is the only dress I styled that wasn’t a midi dress, and it hits me right above my knee. The models’ dresses look much shorter, so they must be much taller than me. I love that the dress doesn’t touch me anywhere in my stomach area, but it has a smocked elastic waist in the back that keeps it from being too oversized. I’m wearing a large, but I think a medium would have fit me better.

Styling Old Navy Fall Dresses With a Denim Jacket

I threw on a denim jacket I bought this summer, which has become my favorite. It has more stretch than the other denim jackets I own and is more comfortable. It runs true to size; I’m wearing a large, and I love the fit.
