Tamara Djordjevic has teamed up with an Australian hair styling brand for her first sponsored content since appearing on MAFS. However, people in the comments section have vowed to stay away from the brand over their controversial choice of ambassador.
Tamara received a lot of backlash after her stint on the reality show, largely due to her constant belittling of her ‘husband’ Brent’s job as a hospitality worker. Perhaps their most savage interaction between the two was when she poked fun at his job during a producer interview and questioned whether he was “good enough for her”.
“I’ve got a career to go home to, a dog and a house. He doesn’t really have a career. He works in hospitality and he calls himself a fucking restaurant expert or some shit like that. I’m sorry, you wait tables,” Tamara said of Brent.
This week, a sponsored post by the brand popped up on Facebook that showed Tamara using the tool, and promotion a discounted code for potential buyers, as per So Dramatic!. The post appears to have been since removed from the brand’s page.
“Want gorgeous curls but never been able to master a curling iron? Does one side always end up a little off? Tired or burning your hand holding a hot wand upside down? Well, the Beachwaver is your answer to your hair prayers! Simply press a button and get gorgeous beach waves,” the advert reads.
“Absolutely will not purchase this product. Your ambassadors say a lot about a companies [sic] ethics,” one commenter wrote on the post.
Another said: “The fact that they got a vile person like her to do this. I won’t be trying this product!”
