Hi Guys! This summer I traveled to NYC to seek out the best instagram spots the city has to offer. Most people know of all of the typical landmarks in NYC such as Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, and Grand Central Station to name a few. And of course, those are great places to take photos. But, I wanted to venture outside of the hustle and bustle of New York city to a neighbor in lower Manhattan called SoHo. SoHo is an artsy neighborhood where you will see everything from street murals, to picturesque restaurants to decorated storefronts.
Here are my top instagram worthy spots in SoHo that you need to visit:
1. NOMO SOHO:
Location: 9 Crosby St, New York, NY 10013
Can you believe this is a hotel entrance in NYC?? This is one of many beautiful places in SOHO to visit. I was just walking down the street and this gorgeous vine – laced archway appeared. This boutique hotel is just as beautiful inside so if you are visiting NYC it’s a must stay.
2. PIETRO NOLITA
Location: 159 Mott Street, New York, NY 10013
Pietro Nolita is another instagrammable spot if you are a lover of anything PINK!! This small 1950’s style Italian restaurant has so much character in both the interior and exterior of the restaurant. Everything from the table and chairs to the toilet are pink. Photo tip! Wear something in white, pink or purple. I wore this striped sundress, pink sunglasses and blush wedges that coordinated with the colors of the restaurant.
Tip for getting the perfect Instagram photo: Try taking photos before they open for lunch, otherwise you may have to wait your turn to take a picture on the exterior of the restaurant.
3. MILK & CREAM CEREAL BAR
Location: 159 Mott Street, New York, NY 10013
When in New York, eat ice cream! I stopped by Milk & Cream Cereal Bar to try out their famous ice cream swirl. If you haven’t heard of it, Milk Bar is a dessert place that incorporates your favorite cereals into your custom dessert. The nostalgic design makes it an instagram worthy spot to take photos and to enjoy some delicious ice cream. There was also a graffiti on the side of the building that made for another great picture.
4.THE LOVE MACHINE MURAL @ NOODLE LOVE
Location: 192 Mott Street, New York, NY 10013
The “Love Machine Mural” was created by Venezuelan born Fer Da Silva. He is the creator of may murals in NYC. This mural was created right outside from Noodle Love. The meaning behind the mural is that you have to give love to receive love. If you are there on a day where you choose to give love, place yourself on the sides under “Giving” and touch the silver hands. If you decide to receive love, put yourself in the middle of the wings and you will feel joy.
Tips for getting the perfect Instagram photo: This is a pretty busy street so try to take your pictures early in the morning.
5. THE AUDREY HEPBURN MURAL
Location: 176 Mulberry Street, New York, NY 10013
The mural titled “Audrey Hepburn” was created by Brooklyn artist Tristan Eaton. This eye-catching mural took my breath away because of its size and vibrant colors. Pedestrians can’t help taking a moment to appreciate this beautiful artwork.
6. LOVESHACKFANCY
Location: 390 Bleecker St, New York, NY 10014
Loveshackfancy is the epitome of feminine. This clothing store sells feminine vintage pieces. The picturesque storefront with its amazing arrangement of flowers cascading around its windows along with the pots of flowers is for sure an instagramable location. They also have the cutest antique bike sitting outside that you can take pictures with!
